The Center is fortunate to have a number of qualified individuals serving as advisors. These advisors have been selected based on their information security knowledge and dedication to information security in the Kennesaw State community. The advisors periodically review the operations of the Center and make recommendations to its director as to its future functions.

 

Director:

 
  • Dr. Michael Whitman, CISSP
    Coordinator, Certificate in Information Security and Assurance
  • The role of the director is to supervise and coordinate the efforts of the center in supporting ongoing information security education, and to assist the KSU CISO in supporting information security awareness in the KSU community. The Director serves as the Conference Chair fo the Annual Information Security Curriculum Development Conference, assists in the coordination of the Annual Southeast Cyber Defense Competition, and develops additional faculty- and student-educational opportunities. Any and all funds generated by the conduct of these events are used to further the development of education and awareness opportunities for faculty, staff and students throughout the region.
